Ireland 2019

Ireland Photo Exploration 2019

July 3–15, 2019

Come Capture the Emerald Isle

With its ancient castles, plunging cliffs, charming villages, friendly people, and natural wonders, Ireland is a dream photographic destination.

Accompanying professional photographer Wayde Carroll on this journey will be the effervescent Annie O’Dea Hestbeck as your cultural guide. Annie is a driving force in Northern California’s Celtic music scene and host of a weekly Celtic music radio show. Annie regularly returns to her Irish homeland and is a special addition to this trip. Local pubs with live traditional music will be a key element to this trip! Good craic will be had by all! (Craic is Irish for a walloping great time.)

In July, the days are long, allowing plenty of time to capture a wide variety of locations at whatever pace suits the group. Annie and Wayde will be your drivers in private vans and they’ll be able to stop en route any time photo opportunities arise.

Each day will be filled with some combination of photography excursions, technique building workshops, hands-on guidance, assignments and reviews, as well as Annie’s homegrown insights on each area. There are a number of multi-night stays in one location, so relaxation time is always an option as well.
